I grew up in Fallon, Nevada then moved to Woodfords, California, and graduated from Douglas High School. My first job was for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California. After that I worked for a government-funded company. I then went to work for the State of Nevada, in different agencies. My last 8 years with the State, I was employed at the Nevada Legislature as a Senior Research Assistant. During the last few years, I attended classes for financial matters and business ownership. Now I live in Fallon and own a business, where I create, sew and sell powwow regalia and arts and crafts.
